Always having the urge to write a novel, but finding life just got in the way (work, family life etc.) he finally got his laptop out in May 2019 to begin his eagerly awaited first novel.
'The Duel' is a murder mystery set in the quizzing world, a world Stephen knows very well from his TV appearances. It was published on Amazon Kindle in November 2020, with the paperback version following in January 2021. He hopes it will be start of a very successful writing career.
